Hi ,
gettimeofday api has been discontinued on windows ia64 2003 Server. is
there another way of getting the system in milliseconds instead of seconds.

Check out either the SYSTEMTIME struct (and GetSystemTime() or
GetLocalTime()) which has millisecond precision, or GetTickCount(), which
gives the number of milliseconds since system start.
