Has anyone tried installing Symantec AntiVirus Corporate Edition through
group policies? They don't say anything about it in the documentation. I
get the following error when trying to add it to the group policy:

Add operation failed. Unable to extract deployment information from the
package. Run validation on the package to ensure that the package is
correct.

What do I need to do to fix this?

Thanks.
Mark

You can distribute a managed install of Symantec AV using the Symantec AV
Console on your server to all the machines it can see in the domain.

To my knowledge, Symantec does not support deployment through GPO
because their MSI package is not GP "compliant" - the easiest way to
deploy to all machines in your domain is to get the ip addresses of
all machines to a text file, and pass this to the NT deploy tool in
SAV control center.
