I can not pinpoint the exact date, but my system is getting slower and slower. I have 256 RAM, plenty of room on the hard drive, Virus Scan runs in background, and RamMedic is occasionally used to optimize RAM

I only use this Pentium III (HP Pvilion xl754) for Office 2000, AOL 9.0, and Internet Explorer (cable modem always on). I just formatted the hard drive in December upgrading WIN ME to WIN XP. It ran great for the past few months. It may have something to do with the installation of the university approved VirusScan (University of Michigan proprietary form of McAfee) downloaded in February. I am waiting their reply too

It has problems with mouse clicks, keyboard, monitorscreen redraws, moving around the internet, etc. Its like its thinking too long and its 2 steps behind me. But its sporadic (so far so good, typing this message!). Could it be an interrupt problem? How can you check? Could it be the change from HP-OEM WIN ME to over-the-counter WIN XP ? If so, why did it take so long

Please email me directly at (E-Mail Removed) if possible with suggestions and advice

Thanks a millio
