I get the blue screen with stop 0x0000008E message during shutdown or restart. I've tried updating my video driver (radeon 7500), reinstalling windows xp pro, uninstalling iTune since it started doing this when I installed it

My hardware is

CPU P4/3.0CGHz 800
DDRAM 512MB DDR PC-3200 64X64 VS DDR400 CORSAIR x
HD 80GB SEAGATE ST380023A
CDRW/DVD 48X24X48X16 lite-o
WRLSS PCI ADPTR DLINK DWL-G52
SHUTTLE BAREBONE SB61G

Thank you

The stop that you are receiving is usually associated with bad or poor
performing system ram. Jym

Problem solved

For everyone's benefit

The clue lies on this page; http://www.nero.com/en/helptool/170.htm#o17

I had Nero express 5.5 installed on my computer. After I installed iTune (which also uses my CD writer to make music CDs), I started getting the BSOD problem. After looking for some answers to my problem, I found out about Nero's problem so I uninstalled Nero and iTune and installed iTune again. BSOD went away! After that I wanted to play around some more so I uninstalled iTune and installed Nero and still no problem. Currently my computer's running without Nero and i'm using windows XP and iTune to burn CDs without a problem.
