Hello All,
I have an SMC2835W cardbus adapter in my IBM A31
Thinkpad. I use this to connect to a cable modem through
a Linksys WRT54G Access Point. Operating system is W2k
sp4, all critical updates have been applied. On Monday of
this week, my company's smart update system notified me
that there were pending updates to W2k. I was currently
logged on and connected through the wireless network at
home. I downloaded and installed the updates, with no
problem, but selected to reboot later. By the way, I was
on sp3 at the time. I powered down, went to work, no
problems were encountered. When I came home, my wireless
network would not connect. The SMC configuration utility
can see the Linksys, and has a good registered signal
strenth, but will not connect to it. I have talked to
Linksys, and SMC, yet other than updating the drivers,
firmware, and installing sp4, niether has a solution to
the problem. I have looked at the event log, and nothing
seems that unusual.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Jeanne
