I've seen reports of "pauses" (nicer word than hang!) of periods from 30
minutes to well over an hour--not sure what the time was--on specific
filenames during some Microsoft Antispyware operations. I'd be interested
in hearing the result of leaving the machine running for an extended period
of time in this situation.
I'm also aware of other situations in which scans or (perhaps) cleaning
operations hang, and there's an eventual memory related error message.
These seem to me to indicate a bug--but I'm not clear about the first case I
mention--a long period of time to perform an operation is surely
sub-optimal, of course.
