I forget now everything that went wrong on my computer when Tea Timer
was made resident, but it all sorted out as soon as I disabled Spybot
free loading at start up. It's hard to blame other companies, many of
which put out good products, for objecting to anti-malware software
that's causing serious conflicts and wasting a lot of their time and
money.

Great Though I'm set-up at DSL Reports to ignore anonymous posters, sorry.
You should register, if you have not.

Yes and no, Pat - it will be interesting to see how SpyBot fares from so much exposure
here on out.

Regards !

To me this is just a scare tactic from the HUGE companies, as way too many
folks are finding out the free stuff is as good, if not better then the paid
for stuff.

For years I had Norton, then my machine went nuts serveral times, plus it
got VERY slow. I finally got rid of it and installed AVG...FREE, plus
Spywareblaster and have had very few problems. After ATT did some updateing,
my AVG didn't agree with it, so I switched to Avast, so far, no problems.

A friend of mine did the Norton, McAfee and Trend Micro routine and had so
many problems, she had to bring her PC out for repairs. They stripped her
machine of all the money making things, shoved in all free stuff and she
hasn't had a problem since. Like they say, if it isn't broke, don't fix it.
I'll stick with my FREE stuff!

Great article Randy, thanks!!! JJ

Since the article is about Spybot, which is free, and that seems to be
the only one a number of companies are targeting, what's your
experience with that program?
