Believe it or not hearing loss is not curable, yes, that is true! There is no cure! You do not get a second chance once you find that out, it is usually too late.

Rest your ears, they also need a break from time to time. You owe it to yourself to read the article fully.
What's that? Headphones linked to hearing loss?

I have created a poll where everyone is reqested to honestly participate and indicte in the poll how much time you spend actually listening through the headphones everyday.

If you need to share your thoughts on the subject, it is more than welcome

That's quite worrying! I don't use head/ear phones at all, but my 17 year-old brother seems to always have the things firmly plugged into his ears - the volume so loud that we can hear the words to the songs. But how do you convince a 17 year-old not to do this??

Show him my hearing aids ...

All they do for me is amplify the noise ... so I lip read instead, I don't do too bad if you haven't got an accent ... dam hard to convince anybody, until too late.

My Dr once said, "stay away from loud noises" yeah right?

I still listen to music, and through headphones occasionally, but I do have to have it loud.

I'm not grouchy by nature, it takes constant effort.

I use my Headphones at night, (so i do not disturb the rest of the house) and, as an audio nut, I bought a nice pair of Sony MDRV-700's (excellent sound)

oh.. america's army.. I used to play that, but got fed up with noobies and idiots giving me hassle when I was playing as the sniper... getting accused of "camping" oh.. sorry... i thought thats what snipers did!

idiots...

i might nip back in, my honor of 36 could do wth an increase

er.... Right, now what was the question again?

Even though like Jaguar, I am a certified audio nut, but, I do not own any portable audio so I do not have them on on a daily basis. I own the Sennheiser 580's which I use occasionally, especially if reviewing music or evaluating equipment.

I shall have to get my brother to read that article... I don't suppose it will do much, but if he does go deaf at least I will be able to say "I told you so!"

I'm out of bed and dressed, what more do you want?

I always take life with a grain of salt, ... a slice of lemon, ...and a shot of tequila

I used to have an open mind but my brains kept falling out

One more step to enlightenment ... but which way ?
