Hello all,
I have about 25 machines in my LAN,yesterday i've
downloaded Win2000 SP4 and i put it on the server in
order to download it over the clinets machines from
central location.
what happened is 8 of the machines are totally crashed
and the others are worked fine and it's contains SP4 now.
is there any known issue?

Yo Duke,

Did you install via GPO or just running the SP executable? Can you access
any of the crashed machines to see the event log (may need a repair to do
this)?

The same thing happened when we used a GPO to deploy XPSP1 to some machines
in our environment - some of them from one particular manufacturer which
shall remain nameless (compaq) blew up and had to be reimaged. The problem
olny occured after a few restarts which is very strange. We check with the
manufacturer and they had "issues". I'd suggest looking to the pc
manufacturer and ask them also.
