Is there any way to download the sp2 patch as an exe file? I have 3 pcs that
need to be updated and a dial up connection. It would be a lot easier to
download the patch 1 time, instead of using windows update.

Rocky

Rather than download the full file, all 270mb of it, you might want to order
the CD..

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/d...s/default.mspx

Having done that, this site instructs on installing SP2..

Mike,
Where can I download the full file? I could go to a friend that has broadband.
I really do not want to wait for the CD to get here
Thanks for answering
Sue

Rocky

I should have given you this first time around..

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

On the page it suggests that it is for IT Professionals.. it works with all
versions of XP, so just go ahead and download it..

Hi Mike,

Note that the URL above just redirects you to
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/sp2/default.mspx

A little while ago, Microsoft removed the option to order the SP2 CD
from Microsoft's web site..
