I'm not sure if this is the right place but hopefully
someone here can help. My computer makes a beeping noise
everytime I'm prompted to either save something, or if I
hit the end of a document when I'm scrolling, or if I get
a new email.

I've tried all of the following:
-turning of my pc speaker by going to system-hardware-
device manager and disabling the system speaker
-
-going to control panel-sounds & multimedia and then
choosing the no sound scheme and turning down the volume

Can anyone help? The sound is loud (I work in a cube) and
annoying.

Turn on a Windoze event sound for each event your computer is instead generating a beep sound for. If you don't want any sounds make an empty ".wav" file and tell the OS to use it instead. C:\WinNT\Media is the sounds folder. Alternatively disable your onboard speaker in BIOS at bootup - or disconnect it from within the case.
