I'll be watching a movie(on a media player such as VLC), or listening to a
YouTube video, the sound will be ok then it will start to lower in volume
and almost disappear. Sometimes after a few minutes, it will come back up.
Then go down again. Right now it won't work for more than a few minutes
before it starts to go down. This is a new problem, wasn't happening a week
ago. I have a P4 2GB ram computer, Asus P4PE motherboard with SoundMax
integrated audio.

Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot this type of problem?

John
