Sound not working in ATI TV

I keep upgrading drivers hoping one of them restores the sound, but that
hasn't happened. Basically sound works fine on the computer, even in other
ATI Media Center apps such as Player and FM, but not in TV. It has been this
way ever since they upgraded the driver to eliminate the need to plug in the
audio cable. Any ideas?

Also open the TV app and make sure the volume is

turned up, that got me once.

Which driver was that? I never saw/heard anything about not needing the
audio cable.

I had the same problem. I was only able to get sound back by installing
the 'optional' decoder software (atiCDwiz.exe, which checks for an
original CD then downloads the decoder). I think my sound card does not
support pass through, so I need to use 'decode and downmix to' option.

No go - driver no longer supports that.

I'm not sure what you mean by 'decode and downmix to' option. Where do you
select that?

For a while now their driver has not supported the audio cable. It's no
longer needed.
