All sounds disappeared after intall of this soundcard. I was proved on other computer that Live works. The problem is in control panel section (no sound hardware found). There are no problem in System/Hardware devices (no conflict). Everything is turned on in harware properties. I tried Creative, Windows XP and Kx drivers for Live! and nothing helped. Unfortunately I can't switch back to onboard sound because of the same problem (Epox 8Krai). Nothing changed in presence/absence of Live nor auto/disabled for onboard RT655. Uninstall/reinstall all doesn't helped
Does somebody have a solution
P.S.: Creative diagnostics showed the card present and all other parameters failed.

I tried SB alone and also together with onboard. In both cases it is displayed without conflicts, however doesn't appear in control panel. I tried to remove all drivers that belongs to onbord audio. Nothing helped. In addition, the onboard one doesn't work at all now. I red the same problem in Hardware section 01/10/2004 with no solution.

Sure. The only one thing I afraid of is an advice to use the latestest drivers. If they work for other people then there must be something wrong on my computer. Thank you anyway.

i had the same problem the other day. you need to go to creative web page and download new drivers and creative playcentre, this worked for me, after doing this remove the sound card in system properties and reboot pc before loading drivers
