What kind of sound card do you have? You will need to get into Sounds, Speech, and audio devices menu. To get there you will need to press Start-Control Panel-Sounds, Speech, and Audio Devices. Once you get in there go into Sounds and Audio Devices. Now, when your in there you will see Device Volume, now you need to press the Advanced button. Once in there you will see a bunch of different volume controls for different things. Do you see microphone as one of the devices? If not, go up to options and open them. Now press on Properties and a list of devices will come up. Just simply check microphone and any others you may need. Now, back in the Advanced Volume Control where it displays all the different devices, you will need to uncheck the mute on the microphone. If you have any other questions, please email me at (E-Mail Removed). I can explain it also for a sound card if you still need help, I just will need the make of the sound card.
