sound card and driver problems

can anyone help me ? i upgraded my pc from windows me to
xp in doing so the sound max does not start up therefore
leaving me with out any sound. is it possible to
reinstall the drivers?

What card?
Do you have an install disk?
Did you buy the card?
was it already in the pc????

Sound Max or SoundMax?
Soundcard or built in sound on motherboard?
If SoundMax then it is Intel.

card from there
