Hi

I am on the same network as all my other collegues at work.

They can access certain websites much faster than I can. I know it is something on my machine that is slowing the connection down but can't put my finger on it.

If it was all websites then i could probably work it out, but as it is only a few, this is doing my head in.

I am going to assume there is a trojan, virus or something else going on. I have used adaware, Spybot, A2Scanner and done a virus check. It did find a couple of bits but supposedly deleted them and it has made no difference.

Any ideas please

Cheers

Paul

Just a thought - ask your company IT support to have a look at it. Your company may be different to mine but we aren't allowed to do anything to the PCs or the network......

To be fair, we are only a small company, and I am about as technical as it gets here !!!!

I am fairly good on pc's but this is doing my nut in.

I have turned off all background applications that i think would interupt any internet connection.

It is the same websites all the time, but as i say, the same websites are absolutely fine on other machines here and we all have the same machines.

very annoying indeed !!

check for spyware and adware ... do a virus scan on you computer

download spydoctor and adaware if you dont have any other scaners

Sorry Paul, as I said it was just a thought as some companies are very strict about what you can do with networked PCs.

It's a hanging offence where I work to even think about a quick fiddle!!!

Love
