This is really odd.

I had to do a repair (In-place upgrade) install on a Dell Dimension 3000
running XP SP2. It was one of those systems that are supplied without an
installation disc, so I made one using the Dimension's I386 folder and another
Dell XP SP2 install disc for the rest of the stuff. The repair appeared to go
fine. However, when I went to check that all the device drivers had
re-installed OK, the My Computer; Properties; Hardware tab was not in English:
It seems to be in one of the Scandinavian languages. So does the IE(6) Tools
menu. There may be other places, but I haven't gone through everything yet.

It occurs to me that this may have resulted from either a registry corruption
during the repair process or from an incorrect dll having been picked up in
the process. Does anyone have any clues as to where I might start looking?

TIA

The controls on this property sheet are disabled because one or more other Network property sheets are already open. To use these controls, close all these property sheets and then reopen this one. =?Utf-8?B?Um9iZXJ0?= Microsoft Windows 2000 Networking 1 11th Apr 2004 12:22 AM
