I got a domain DFS root and have some DFS links which is configured with
replication, and all the replications are between 2 servers only.
My problem is, some of the replication sets replicate very well, but some
not. Since some of the folders replicate very well, I have ruled out the
possibility of firewall issues. Some of the problem replica sets only
replicate uni-directional, and some of them don't even replicate at all.
I have tried to delete those DFS links which is not working and add them
back and re-configured the replica settings. But they are not replicating
anyway and I got some 13562 and 13508. BTW, some newly added replica sets
can replicate well, seems to be only restricted to some "name" of the DFS
links.
DNS resolving should not be the cause since I have even coded the servers'
IP address on lmhosts and hosts.
I found that there is some registry keys on those server which is located
in:
HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\NtFrs\Parameters\Replca Sets\
Those seems to be replication connections settings of every replica sets,
but some of the replca sets which is not working have the "Replica Set
Tombstoned" DWORD Value set to "1", while others working sets are 0.
Can someone point me how to resolve those replica sets which is working ?
These registry keys are seems to be the source and somehow we may need to
manipulate these keys to solve the replication problem.
Sorry for the long paragraph.
