      9th Jul 2004
I supposedly formatted my hard drive but when I try to reinstall win XP pro is says I have some corrupt files in it....How can I format my drive COMPLETLY

Boot with the XP CD.
Follow through the prompts like you are installing until you get to the part
where it asks you where you want to install.
Delete the Partitions.
Create a new partition.
Continue with your installation.

You know, I had a problem where not even that worked. It would go
through the text mode just fine, but when it went the GUI mode, it would
just blank the screen and stop. I used Western Digital's harddisk
utility to zero out the entire harddisk. After that it would install
properly.
