Each time I try to run my slide show (PowerPoint 2002), it
won't work. I just get an extra button on the taskbar for
PwoerPoint that I can't open.

Can anyone help please.

Go to Slide Show > Set Up Show and under Multiple Monitors, set your show to
display on Primary Monitor. Your presentation is being displayed, but on a
phantom secondary monitor. This will fix the problems.
