Signature for Windows Setup is invalid

I am trying desperately to install the trial version of windows 2003. I have had a very difficult time so far. I am now at the Installing Windows Stage - step 4 - and my system locks up. I get the message Signature for Windows Setup is invalid. The error code is ffffdda

The system cannot find message tet for message number 0xfffffdda in the message file for syssetup.dll.

Can anyone help me out here? Please?
