Is there a way for me to release the messages that loaded into my Outlook
"Inbox" so that I can still read and respond to them in AOL on a different
computer?

You mean you want to upload messages from the Inbox in Outlook to the Inbox
of your AOL account?
That's only possible when you have an IMAP connection.
