How To Set Up File Synchronization

I am looking for a way to enable our travelling staff to
synchronize a set of folders (and sub-folders and their
contents) from their local laptop hard drive to a network
drive that is mapped for them via a login script when they
login to the network. The users are running Windows 2000
Pro and the Network is NT 4 with the file server being
Windows 2000 Server. I have worked with setting up
synchronization (making files/folders available offline)
but have learned that this will not synch PST files or MDB
files, both of which would be necessary for this to work
properly. Am I missing something abou the configuration of
the synch? Is there another utility or tool I should be
using? When the synch was set up I could not locate the
files on the local hard drive, does anyone know where
these are stored?

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
