Can anybody explain what I could do to prevent the following error message which appears in the event viewer after startup

"The general purpose USB driver (adildr.sys) service failed to start due to the following error: The service cannot be started either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it

Is this something I need to worry about, or can it be ignored

Depends, do you use USB for anything? If you do and
attach it prior to bootup, do you still get the message
and does the USB device work? If you don't use USB or if
the message still appears, but the device works; ignore
it. If the device doesn't work & you get then message,
you need to find out why it fails. Go into the event
viewer, see if it gives more information.
