I try accessing the server by typing \\servername in IE browser, I get
the error " The server's clock is not synchronized with the primary
domain controller's clock".

I try to map the network share using windows explorer
\\servername\sharename. I get and "Extended Error". I repeatedly try to
map 3 or 4 times and then finally it gets mapped.

Now I go to the IE and type \\servername again, it gets in and shows me
the list of shares.

My network person says the clocks are all in sync.

What could be causing this issue. Any suggestions would be highly
appreciated.

IF he bothered to check, then the most likely problem
is that they LOOK in sync but are set to different (wrong)
time zones.

Time has to be within 5 minutes max for Kerberos authentication
to work. (5 minutes but closer than a minute and within a few
seconds is the RIGHT thing to do.)

If you are not the Admin (or at least a power user you cannot
fix time problems) -- if you have not administrative privilege
NOR responsibility, give the admin another chance to fix (the
entire problem) and then take it up the chain of command --
either his supervisor or yours.
