I'm having difficulty figuring out how to delete entries in the address
book used by the Windows XP FAX Wizard. I can see how to edit the
entries, but not how to delete an entire person.

Thanks for your help,
Tom

Start by posting which address book you configured XP Fax to use.

I didn't select the address book. I followed the instructions in the
Microsoft document entitled "How to enable and configure the fax service
in Windows XP." I found it at http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=306550

I don't use an address book for the few faxes I send, and I also don't
use Outlook, so take this for what it's worth:

"The Windows XP Fax service uses the Windows Address Book (WAB) as its
default address book for fax numbers. When you install Outlook 2000 or
Outlook 2002, the fax service switches to the Outlook Address Book (OAB)
as its source for fax addresses. So you don't need to maintain two
address books—just one will do."

So, depending on which address book you're using, edit (or delete) the
contact in Outlook or
Start > All Programs > Accessories > Address Book

You did select the address book. Apparently, you just weren't aware you did.
XP Fax uses the default address book service for your OS, which you have yet
to divulge.

Thanks Lem; that took care of it. Since I don't have Outlook I went
Start > All Programs > Accessories > Address Book
and found it immediately.
