Hello to you all,
I get this message back after rebooting from patch MS04-032.
"One of the files containing the system's Registry data had to be recovered
by use of a log or alternate copy."
There is only a "OK" button in the box.
It seems to only happen on some of the Dells. There does not seem to be a
pattern as to the model. My test Dell Precision and Dell GX200 did not spawn
this message after a reboot.
I have not seen any reports on Gateway or Toshiba systems at our company. I
am assuming they have had no problems knowing my clients and their habit of
calling our Helpdesk for the smallest little thing.

This patch could not be opened. Verify that the patch exists and that you can acess it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid windows patch package. Allan Meyer Windows XP Help 1 6th Nov 2004 01:23 AM
