This spy ware seems to be almost impossible to get rid
of. Just when I think I have fixed the problem it
returns. IT always drops a file called se.dll into the
temp folder, and then tries to add a randomly named DLL
to the system32 folder. It then tries to change the home
page to About:blank and adds registry entries pointing to
SP and BHO objects. The only thing I can figure is that
there is a file that continues to spawn this off on my PC
somewhere but I have yet to find it. Has anyone had this
problem and been able to get rid of it

Thanks

If you google on this string, you should get a bunch of excellent ideas:

trojan.startpage symantec

Yeah I have tried probably all of them, but It seems that
I never actually get rid of the "spawner" file

Well - if you can't spot it using the system explorers in Microsoft
Antispyware--the ultimate startup checker is:

silentrunners.vbs
