Not sure what's going on here. I can leave the desktop
for hours and comeback and the screensaver hasn't started
up despite it being set at 10 mins.

I've seen the ScreenSaver begin to operate and then for no
apparent reason the desktop becomes visible.... Any
Windows components cause this behavior?

I have a cable modem connected..., Norton AV, Zone Alarm.

Thanks

- What OS do you run?
- What happens if you enable the screen saver password function?

Running Windows 2000. I'll let you know in a little bit
about the password function

Your report suggests that your PC runs some application that
performs screen refreshes. I think you now have two options:

- Leave the password function enabled. This means that
nothing can restore the screen, unless you type a password.

- Kill all non-essential applications & services until you find
the culprit.
