Scientists photograph Giant Squid!

Just read a rather surreal story on Yahoo news - scientists in Japan have managed to take pictures of a Giant Squid! They are really worth a look, the thing was about 26 feet long!

Saw this on the news last night,this is the first time ever one has been caught on film,a real "mythical"beastie.It makes you wonder what else is down there,IMHO now the space race is where it is that money should be spent exploring our seas.

Amazing! Strange to thing that it isn't the biggest squid type either!

I resd about this on another forum yesterday. Not really good to hear that we've managed to REALLY annoy it be trying to catch and maim it!

I think the aim was to just take a picture - I hope they weren't trying to catch one!

See thats why i don't like the see, it's scary! Surfing is cool though, can't beat that.

I'm glad chris's fish are only small! lol

Well. Nice to see hard to get pictures.

Just a shame they had to rip one of it's legs off to get them

PS: Yes, T & S, surfing is well good.

But I really think I a bit too old do do that anymore, sad to say

But there again, who knows? hehe

Well a 26ft squid is scary .... but whats really scary is just thinking about what feeds on IT !!!!
