thanks Jan for the scheduling help. my 'monday' scan ran
on saturday just fine--on my laptop but not on my desktop,
both nominally running the same version (5705, now 5707).
my laptop installation even acknowledges the scan!
my scan scheduler panel has the same settings on both
machines and has the same "every monday of every week at
2:00 AM" summary.
I will see whether my next scheduled scan occurs on the
desktop. (And on the laptop for that matter.)
