Scan computers (based in Bolton in the UK) are now my main supplier. I only live about 20 minutes drive from their store and find that by ordering each component from their 'Today Only' page over a period of a couple of weeks, i can get complete systems puit together at knock-down prices, that they'll hold for me until i collect in one trip. This is a godsend!

There are some brands that they don't suppy, but they do tend to have a good range. If i have a faulty item, i just take it in and swap it on site. It's very handy and I've saved a fortune on delivery charges and lost days leave waiiting for things to turn up, that eventually don't!

Overall, in would recommend using them - especially if you can get to the store itself. their Q-collect sytem is very efficient.

Windows is now a 64 bit tweak of a 32 bit extension to a 16 bit user interface for an 8 bit operating system based on a 4 bit architecture from a 2 bit company that can't stand 1 bit of competition...So why the hell have I bought Vista?...OK so Win 7 is pretty good now.

Sounds great 1nteger.
I only wish I had a good reasonable priced computer store near me.
There are a few local stores, but there ranges are crap and prices are high...It would seem they think we're all thick round here. We do have PC-World here too, but they too are expensive.
I do most of my component shopping on the net, either from aria or ebay.
Hmmm, maybe I should set up my own shop! Anyone wanna lend me the kudos to set it up?

I wouldn't mind setting my own place up m8. Yup - PC World are way overpriced, especially for components.
