i can't get the windows2000 installation to detect my
Maxtor SATA150 Harddisk.

i pressed F6, then the installation reads my floppy,
i inserted the driver disk, and it reads and includes
the driver for my harddisk.

then when i continued the installation and start
installing, the program immediately gives sign that
it cannot find a harddisk on my system.

help!

Assuming this is a new disk, and you prev used smaller hd's, have you
updated Win2K? one of the more recent service packs included support for
large hd's
Have you also updated yr mb bios?

150 is not the size (you are thinking of the 137GB issue), 150 is the speed
of the SATA drive. Besides... he is trying to INSTALL the OS at this
point... that is why he told us he pressed F6 and gave it the floppy... but
setup cant locate a disk.

....pay a little attention...
