Running scandisk on Win XP Pro

I am new to Win XP Pro and I can't find where to run scandisk. On my old system I used find that utility under 'System Tools'. Can someone please assist me with this.

Windows XP uses "Checkdisk" and not "Scandisk" used in previous versions of Windows.
The Checkdisk function will begin when you restart your computer:
