Is there a way to install IE7 beta 2 without having it overwrite IE 6? Or
(since I have IE7 running) reinstall IE6 in a different directory? I really
like IE7 and use it for a majority of my web browsing, but certain web based
apps/forms at work do not want to recognize it. I would like to run both.

Hi Kevin :-)

That side-by-side installation is not supported. Take a look at the
information here
http://blogs.msdn.com/ie/archive/2005/12/16/504864.aspx

Also, IE7 Beta 2 Public Preview testers are asked to post their comments to
the following newsgroup. The folks there specialize in helping you with
problems such as yours and others specific to the Beta 2 program, and the
IE7 Beta team is also assisting in this group and anxious to hear of your
experience and comments. So please post your question to
microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general newsgroup.

On the web:
http://www.microsoft.com/communities...plorer.general

In your newsreader:
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsof...plorer.general

Hope this helps.

Hi Fisheye :-)

Ahhh...but....I did not say it could not be done. I said that a
side-by-side install is not supported. If you read The Microsoft Internet
Explorer Weblog that I posted the link to for the OP, you would perhaps
understand why it is not supported. <g>

Sorry for putting it in the wrong group.
Thanks for the feedback from both of you.
And thanks for the link to the correct group.
