I bought a USB Rumble Control Pad from Game and connected it to my PC. However my PC says the controller is an unknown device. So I then installed the driver from the CD but it still says the controller is an unknown device.
Any advice?

what make/model? whats your Operating System ?

try this

unplug it, uninstall the driver, reboot, install driver (best to reboot again), plug in, and it should work

This is probably a silly question, but are you running Windows 2000/ME/XP? If it's the one I'm thinking of, it won't be compatible with anything but these.

Most (if not all) USB devices require you to install the drivers before plugging the device in.

I've got Windows XP and the make/model is the Black USB Rumble Control Pad from Game. There's a pic of it on their website.
Also in the instructions it says to plug the controller in before putting the CD in.

Do you have another computer you can try it on? Might be worth doing - if it still doesn't work, it's probably a problem with the actual controller. What info do you get when you click the error bubble?
