RRAS slow to forward traffic to clients

Just wondering if anyone here has come across this problem, and if so,
can point me towards a solution?

I'm running a Windows 2003 server and have RRAS setup to route
traffic between the external and internal network. The external
adapter connects to a wi-fi access point within range and the internal
adapter is wired into a 10/100 switch. The client PC's are also
connected to that switch.

The problem I'm seeing is with regards to the speed in which RRAS is
routing traffic. On the client computers WebPages seem to take forever
to load and frequently time out; sending/receiving email is acceptable
and ping times to external sites are also reasonable. When browsing
Websites from the 2003 server, display speeds are acceptable.

With that in mind, can anyone offhand think of a setting I should be
looking into to speed the routing portion up? It has me a tad
perplexed right now.

Thanks in advance.

Paul
