Roaming Profile oddity from NDS to AD

Hello,

I am testing a migration of some folks that were on NDS. I copyed all
their files over, including their profile to a share on an NTFS
volume, and then I created a new acccount for them in an AD OU. When
they log in, the profile that I copied is nullified. I then log them
out, and then recopy their old profile into the new profile path, and
it works great. Any thoughts at all on this?
