My network has grown steadily, and I decided to implement several more networking segments. I propose moving to a dynamic routing system, and my supervisor seems interested. In response to her request, I need a list showing the advantages and disadvantage of using Ripv1, Ripv2 and OSPF.

These cover serveral chapters in a text book. This can't be covered very
well in a simple newsgroup message.

I don't see the point in OSPF unless you have multiple redundant paths to
the same destination. Why waste procesessing to find the "shortest path
first" when there is only one path to begin with. If your system only has
one physical path to each destination and there are actually subnets that
are multiple "hops" away from each other, then all you need is RIPv2.

That's my opinion anyway.
