Hi
I am familiar with the correct way to restore windows protected files, but
this does not work with files used during the boot process, e.g. ntdll.dll
Is there a Microsoft newgroup where I can discuss these programming issues.
This information is required for the restore phase of a backup program which
has successfully 'swapped' operating systems using the Microsoft Recovery
console, but not all of our users have access to the MRC as Windows is
pre-installed and they are issued with a 'Restore CD', which basically
re-sets their system to factory defaults, running a restore of an SP1 backup
then immediately runs into the ntdll.dll problem.
Cheers
Barry
