Please direct me to the appropriate or active newsgroup to ask for
help in finding some friendly people experienced in using software
programs related to digital workflow.

If this is the correct group, and anyone can help, please post the
name / manufacturer and version of the software you are using to
manage your digital workflow immediately after capture and through to
the printing for the customer. Appreciate a thumbnail overview of any
personal experience.

Just can not believe that the only programs out there cost so much and
there is not a single program to manage the entire workflow. Have an
Epson 4800 if that makes a difference in anyone's suggestions.

Hi Sandee...

That would depend on your definition of Workflow... are you scanning
primarily for digital archival purposes? Form processing?
Invoice/Billing? etc...

The more sophisticated the workflow , the more the cost...

one popular application which we bundle with most of our (Fujitsu)
document scanners is by Captiva : Quickscan Pro.

try it out for free (30 launches) but you get full features including
barcode recognition, image enhancement, etc...
