all of a sudden when I import an SLD file throught the db
manager with "copy repository files to repository root"
checked, I get an error saying "Error: you do not have
permission to copy repository files into repository root.
Please verify that you have the write-permission to
repository root before importing this file."

I have never seen this before, and it's my understanding
that this is a read-only directory. I never thought much
about it until getting this error. I haven't moved or
modified this dir at all. Any ideas?

Hi Darren,

Your repository folder security permissions are not enough any more.
Check both local folder user security.
And network share security.

Best way would be to try to delete or change files using network share name.
If you can't the your security restrictions are too tight.
