Hello,

I have never posted here before.
i was curious if anyone has run across some odd behavior
when deleting the contents of the OLK folders under:
documents and settings\username\local settings\temporary
internet files\olk#.

i found that i could not navigate to this location
through explorer. the olk folders wouldn't show up.
however, if i typed out the entire path in the address
bar of the explorer window, i could get there.

here is the interesting part. when i deleted the files in
this folder, they dont show as being deleted until you
hit f5 to refresh. now what concerns me is that everytime
i hit f5 to refresh the olk folders on the left side of
the explorer window double. in other words, when i do the
1st delete there is only one folder. i hit f5 to refresh
again and there are two. hit f5 again, there are 4, then
8, 16, 32, etc... i'm sure you get the picture here.

could this compromise the system if initiated by a
malicious program?

i have never seen this anywhere and was curious if anyone
else has run across this behavior.

thanks,
cepolly
