I have an old Dell Computer (PIII, 128 megs of RAM). I have one DVD
drive, one CD-R, one hard drive and one 250 zip drive. I would like
to replace the 250 zip with an old hard drive I have. I tried simply
plugging the power and ribbon into the hard drive but Windows 98 does
not recgonize the drive. Any thoughts on what I need to do.

Thanks.

Is the drive seen in bios?

What are your jumpers set to? Did you format drive?

Go into the BIOS and let bios auto detect drives, this should find the
drive, if you have jumpered it correctly ie Slave/Master....
Save and Exit Bios and continue to Boot into Windows.
All shoud be OK now.
