There may have been a virus on my laptop , brand compaq
e500 armada, where can i go online to download a repair
recovery cd? Since, i don't have any floppy disk
available.
Problem that i am having is, i tried to load an old
version of cd creater so i can burn cd's, but my system
crashed and i am trying not to lose all of my infomation,
that is why i need a repair cd or recovery cd. HELP!!
It will boot up in safe mode at all,I tried to boot it
up from the microsoft professional xp, didn't work at
all. The error message that i got was (could not find
focal point).

You need to read the manual that came with your computer. Your disk has a
hidden restore partition on it. You do not and cannot download a Restore
CD. Your manual will tell you how to reformat your drive using the image on
the hidden partition. Your computer will be restored to the same as it was
the first day you got it. You will lose any data and programs installed
since then.

cd creater has a patch for their problem software for
XP.If it's Roxio CD creator 5,you need the patch. You may
need to get it on another computer then burn it to
disc, set yours to read CD first, then load the patch.Visit
Roxio for more info.
