hi
in the last newsletter the creator of "THE RENAME" says this:

<cit>
Hi,

Since the last version of THE Rename, in february, I did not made any
modification to the program and don't want to do anything more. In fact I'm
even thinking to move it to an Open Source project.

To be honest, I'm completly fed up to develop under Windows.
During the last 6 years, developping THE Rename has been a very attractive
activity but in these 6 years, the two last was the most hard. I have
estimated that I spend more than 40 % of my time to solve problems relatives
to Windows and/or Visual Basic (the programming language I'm using).

Actually, I more enthusiast by web developpements. I'm spending a lot of
time to develop for a content management system called Xoops
(http://www.xoops.org)

If you have any experience in Open Source projects and/or if you are a
developper and want to help, contact me.

I'm searching someone, or a group of people to take things in hand.

THE Rename uses Visual Basic (99 %) Visual C++ (0.8 %) and Delphi (0.2%)

Bye,
Hervé

it would be good if someone can keep mantaining it ... :-)
bye
