To boot from the Norton disc change the boot order in the bios to make the
CD first in order. The emachins recovery disc might have a way to load the
recovery console you would have to check that out yourself. Those recovery
discs are all different.
Failing all the above do you know someone who repairs computers or a
knowledgeable friend. They might have the necessary software that can boot
and give access to the file system outside of Windows.
