Simple question that I can't seem to find a definitive answer to..

I have 2 drives both on a machine running Vista ultimate. The 'C' drive is
the OS, with the 'E' drive holding music etc.
I would like to get a removeable tray for the 'C' drive, so that I can swap
out XP pro as another drive ( wll be the new 'C' drive) from time to time,
since I have an app that doesn't play nicely in Vista.

Now the question:

Will the 'E' drive that is currnetly under Vista be altered in any way when
I swap out the OS to XP and it is rediscovered? Is NTFS the same between
these two OS's or is this not a good idea?

Thanks in advance...

KC

As long as there is no "installed" software on the D: drive, it will supply
data to either operating system just fine.

I don't see any reason this wouldn't work.

Thanks for the quick response, Wandering. I have shot myself in the foot
before by leaping before asking

Thanks,
KC
