Remote Assistance - Save Invitation Problem

I am running Windows XP SP3. When I try to invite someone to help me using
remote assistance, and I select the Save Invitation option, I get an error
"A program could not start. Please try again".

I tried running sessmgr -service to fix this. The sessmgr.setup.log file
has the following error:

Entering CreatePendingHelpTable
RegCreateKeyEx() failed with error code 5
CreatePendingHelpTable() return 5
CreatePendingHelpTable() failed - 0x80070005

*** Finish Setup with Status 0x80070005 ***

Any suggestions on what the problem is would be appreciated.

Thanks,

You might benefit from ...
Ignore the title and follow the sub-section under "Advanced Troubleshooting"
titled, "Method 1: Reset the registry and the file permissions"
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/949377

And you went through all of this?
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/900904
(Try again after doing the first suggestion...)
(Logged in as an administrative user...)

You also might:

Download, install, run, update and perform a full scan (separately) with the
following two applications (freeware versions are the ones to use for this):

SuperAntiSpyware
http://www.superantispyware.com/

MalwareBytes
http://www.malwarebytes.com/

After performing a full scan with one and then the other and removing
whatever they both find completely, you may uninstall these products,
if you wish.

Download and run the MSRT manually:
http://www.microsoft.com/security/ma...e/default.mspx

Reboot.

This is a recent issue?

Have you and those attempting to assits you considered alternate methods (in
many ways better) such as "TeamViewer"?
